About Rachel

I am a 22-year-old university student and full-time employee! My journey after year 12 has proven to be quite fast-tracked. I began working in the public service 2 months after graduating college, and have been juggling university and work simultaneously for four years now.

At university, I study a double degree, Bachelor of Communications and Media/ Bachelor of Politics and International Relations. So far, this degree has taught me how to interpret real-life scenarios and convey them in written or verbal forms, as well as retrieve 'lessons-learnt' to improve processes and solutions in my professional capacity. The communications and media side of my studies has taught me how to communicate effectively using digital, visual, verbal and written elements.

My transition from being a year-12 student, to a full-time employee and university student has taught me the value of efficacy and practicality. I aim to knowledge-share how to translate academic studies into real-life situations, and how to have fun with it and express yourself while you do it!

I believe in making education a positive and practical experience. At times, you may ask yourself, "when will I ever use this" - I want to answer this question for you. I want to make a positive difference in cultivating young minds, teaching them the value of education and its utility...all while being able to express themselves with confidence in diverse ways!

About the lesson

My teaching integrates theoretical and practical methodologies while also balancing creative and concise writing for diverse audiences and contexts.

Lengths of lessons can be from 30mins to 1hr.

This will be my first tutoring experience, however I am excited to share my knowledge in communications and writing as I currently practice writing in an academic and professional environment.

Lessons are intended for youth, from 10-17 years old.
