About Olivia

I graduated high school with highest honour and an overall average of 18.38/20 at what we called « baccalauréat ».
In september, I will be a third-year political science student, after a second year awarded with high honours.
I am quite fluent in English, I also studied German and Spanish.

I have been doing tutoring for more than 3 years. When I was a Red Cross volunteer, I helped during the tutoring sessions that they organized in my neighborhood. I help the children I babysit doing their homework.
I am now a tutor at Parkours : before the Coronavirus outbreak I did in-class sessions with a group of 5 students, now I do correspondance courses on an individual basis.
The children I have helped are between 7 and 14 years old.

I am dynamic, creative, smiling, serious and caring.

About the lesson

In my opinion, a homework assistance session goes beyond essential support for the child during exercises and lesson reviews : it is also the opportunity for reminding your child the usefulness of homework, for putting it in parallel with his interests and future prospects, for motivating him and restoring his self-confidence if necessary.

I will adapt to your specific needs but here is the conduct that I can offer you: during half of the study I help your child to do his homework and during the other half we focus on one or even two lesson points that he will have communicated to me in advance so that I can prepare appropriate resources. The idea during this second half of the course is to relearn and progress together with entertaning resources adapted to your child's memory type (For language lessons, I can make crosswords to learn the spelling and the meaning of the words. To learn how to conjugate the « imparfait » I can give your child information on his favorite athlete or singer and ask him to write a false interview on the childhood of this person using mostly the « imparfait » etc ...).

My support does not stop at study hours: at the end of each session, I can produce and send you « graphical lessons » or audio files (according to the type of memory of your child) on one or two relatively short points that we will have addressed during the study (I can send you one of the educational resources I made for my previous studies as an example). For the longest lessons and in view of empowering your child, I will teach him the methodological bases for making the « graphical lessons » or the audio files himself.

I can do individual tutoring sessions or with two students at the same time, from primary school to la « 4ème ».
