About Taryn
I have a degree in Education and have taught in a government school in Cape Town as a Grade 2 teacher as well as teaching High School English in South Korea for several years. I started teaching English classes and TESOL courses in Cape Town but I'm now focusing on individual to small group teaching.

My teaching methodology is creating a perfect balance between having fun and learning. I believe you'll never learn something and have it stick unless you enjoy learning it. In big classroom environments this can be difficult to create but in individual or small groups,it can be controlled more and be incredibly productive for the learning experience. I also believe in the method of scaffolding where you provide a lot of support in the beginning stages of learning something new and then slowly allowing the student to learn more freely.
