About Ettienne
Hi! I'm Ettienne. I am 34 years old and I am from South Africa.
I studied theology and Biblical Hebrew linguistics. I started teaching Biblical Hebrew while at university and after I left I started teaching it online. I'm new to this platform - so book a lesson with me and let's see how it goes!
13 years experience teaching pronunciation, grammar, syntax, poetry, translation and text-focused understanding (or as I like to call it, linguistic interpretation).
BTh, MDiv - and a BHons in Biblical Hebrew for which I never officially enrolled, so I don't have any papers to show for this last one unfortunately =)

I offer lessons focused on Biblical Hebrew reading, including pronunciation, grammar and syntax - everything you will need to read and understand the Hebrew Bible / Tanakh for yourself!
I am especially practiced in providing guided reading classes and at higher levels I can also teach Biblical Hebrew poetry.
Al levels are welcome.
I am a native English and Afrikaans speaker. I can also understand German (though I am out of practice with speaking it!)
