About Phemelo
I am a qualified Audio Engineer with a NQF Level 6 Diploma in Sound Technology majoring in Post-Production.
I have been in the radio broadcast space and music industry for the last 8 years, whilst lecturing audio engineer students for the last 7 years. As of recent I have been promoted to Senior Sound Technology Lecturer.
This has given me the opprtunity to directly impact the students by providing fresh and relevant course material.
I have vast collection of skills obtained during the last decade of study and practice. I am constantly upskilling and attending workshops.
In addition to the experience and proficiency level, my biggest assest is my ability to communicate and build raport with the students. I believe this is an important element to learning.

I am a lecturer by day and an alternative singer-songwriter & producer by night. I'll be the first to tell you that this industry requires you to work hard and party harder.
Finding your own unique style and aesthetic is equally as important as being great. My approach with every student is unique to their own fundemental understanding or level of proficiency.
I tutor and teach in English and have been doing so for the past 7 years. I believe in the practical approach of solving problems with reference to theoretical knowledge.
I am looking for those students who are looking for fundemental concepts and constructs, from Audio processing, mixing and editing. As well as a more finite look into the Live aspects, Studio production, broadcasting and post-production.
