About Verusha

Hi I am teacher Vee, I live in South Africa in a beautiful city called Durban. We have 11 official languages in our country, and I speak both English and Afrikaans. I have a 150-hour TEFL Certificate which means I can teach kids and adults all over the world. I am very passionate about teaching. My aim is to help students achieve their goals by learning, speaking, and understanding English. Learning English with me will be fun, easy, and exciting. We can learn grammar, phonics, reading, and writing in my classroom. I will be honored to work with you and hope to see you soon for an online lesson.

I believe that I am a good teacher because I care deeply for my students and their success. I am patient and understanding, which helps me support learners with the extra help they need. I always try to explain lessons clearly in different ways so that everyone can understand in their own way. I create a positive and friendly atmosphere so learners are comfortable to ask questions and share ideas. I am also very organized, I communicate well with learners and parents by sharing information professionally. I listen to my learners and encourage them to do their best. I enjoy teaching and helping my learners grow, not only in their studies but also as kind and confident people. Teaching English to a one-on-one learner helps me with the values behind my teaching rooted in respect and lifelong learning. I believe that every learner has unique strengths, and my role as a teacher is to create a supportive and engaging environment. Ultimately my teaching philosophy is guided by my belief that my education should inspire both mind and heart. What interests me the most about online teaching is the flexibility and accessibility it offers. It allows me to connect with learners from different places and backgrounds creating opportunity for diverse interactions and global learning. Online teaching encourages continuous learning, adaptability, and innovation qualities that I value as an educator.
