About Sia
Hello! My name is Sia, and I am a TEFL-certified teacher and a final-year Bachelor of Education (Foundation Phase) student. I have over nine years of experience working with young learners in preschool and foundation phase settings, where I have developed a passion for helping children grow in confidence and reach their full potential.
I believe that every student learns differently, so I create lessons that are engaging, interactive, and tailored to each learner's individual needs. My goal is to make learning English enjoyable by using a supportive and encouraging approach that helps students feel comfortable asking questions, participating, and building their skills at their own pace.
I teach English to beginner and intermediate learners, with a focus on improving speaking, reading, writing, grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary. Whether your goal is to strengthen your schoolwork, improve communication skills, or build confidence in English, I am committed to helping you achieve steady progress in a positive learning environment.

I am a TEFL-certified teacher and a final-year Bachelor of Education (Foundation Phase) student with over nine years of experience working with young learners in preschool and foundation phase settings. I am passionate about creating a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every student feels comfortable, encouraged, and motivated to succeed.
My teaching approach is student-centred, interactive, and tailored to each learner's individual needs and goals. I believe that students learn best when lessons are enjoyable and relevant, so I incorporate games, stories, conversations, visual aids, and practical activities to keep learners actively involved. I also provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help students build confidence and make steady progress.
I am proficient in English and can also communicate in isiZulu, allowing me to support learners from diverse language backgrounds when appropriate.
A typical lesson begins with a warm-up activity, followed by clear explanations of the lesson objectives. Students then participate in guided practice, interactive activities, and real-life language tasks before ending with a review of what they have learnt and feedback on their progress.
My lessons are suitable for beginners to intermediate learners, especially children and young students who want to improve their English speaking, reading, writing, pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary. Whether a learner needs help building a strong foundation, improving school performance, or gaining confidence in English, I am committed to making learning enjoyable, meaningful, and rewarding.
