About Merle
I had the opportunity to teach Greek speaking people English when I lived in Greece in 1986 and really enjoyed sharing and teaching others to speak English. There is nothing better to converse with someone whom does not speak your native tongue. I have recently completed a TEFL accredited certification and am looking forward to teaching, anyone who is willing to speak, read and write. English is my native language and am fluent with the South African accent.

I follow the TEFL teaching technique, where I engage the student in
fun and easy learning technics depending on English speaking level of proficiency. I will use elicitation where the student provides as much information as possible before giving the correct answer. I am Patient and have empathy for students and understand the difficulties of learning a new language. I will prepare and plan each lesson. The following methods will be used to make sure the student understands all lessons before moving on to the next lesson. Realia, Mime and Action, pictures, Contrast, Discussions, Gap-fill etc: i want to teach foreign speaking people whom want to speak English fluently and to teach those who want to learn to read and write.
