About Mbali
I matriculated in 2020 and I am currently pursuing a degree in Psychology. I matriculated with 82% in English (Home Language) and 89% in History. I tutored my peers in high school as well as other learners in an under privileged school.
I have a TEFL certificate and have worked at a Kumon Learning Centre, tutoring English.In my Tutoring Assistant position with the Kumon Learning Centre, My main responsibilities included:
• Delivering educational assistance and instruction to various levels of learners.
• Keeping students on task by monitoring them in center and through positive reinforcement.

My name is Mbali, but my students can call me Lily. I am a self-motivated and progress-driven individual, with an extensive background in tutoring English. I am incredibly passionate about the English language, specifically literature and hope that I can be able to share this passion with others.
My teaching style is primarily learner-centred, where the lessons are designed to meet the specific needs of the learner/learners in attendance. Grammar is taught through a communicative and dynamic style, so as to provide learners with the tools needed in the real world. Positive reinforcement is utilised as a means to keep learners present and motivated. In this class, mistakes are allowed, as that is the only way we learn.
