About Mawande
I’ve been around isiZulu since I was born, so it’s not just textbook stuff to me, it’s how I actually speak and live. My lessons are chill and fun, not boring lectures. We’ll learn through real convos, quick tips, and interactive activities so you’re actually talking, not just memorizing.
I grew up learning with my siblings, so I know how to explain things in a way that makes sense and doesn’t make you feel dumb for asking questions. If you want to get confident speaking isiZulu without stress, I’ll make it easy and engaging.

Here’s why I’d be the best isiZulu tutor for you.
I don’t just throw rules and vocab at you, I actually help you use isiZulu like people do in real life. I’ll break down tough grammar into simple steps, explain the “why” behind how words change, and give you tons of examples you’d actually hear in Jozi or Durban. If you mess up, no stress, I’ll correct you in a way that makes it stick, not embarrassing.
I also adapt to you. If you learn better through chat, songs, or breaking down Zulu memes and songs, we’ll do that. My goal isn’t just to get you to pass a test, it’s to get you confident enough to hold a convo with your friends, family, or coworkers in isiZulu without freezing up.
Plus, I’m patient, I don’t judge, and I’ll meet you where you’re at, whether you’re starting from “sawubona” or trying to level up your essays and speaking. Once you start seeing yourself actually understanding and speaking, it gets fun, and that’s when you learn fast.
