Samina Shafieq wad my tutor while I was studying for my undergraduate degree at the University of Bedfordshire. She is an excellent mentor and tutor, always going beyond to ensure I was in the right path with my learning journey.
My favourite part of her teaching was the multitude of examples she would give us to better understand the modules.
Samina was also my unit lead and I can say she has always put her students first when it came to her responsibilities, ensuring a safe and professional environment for her students.

I highly recommend Samina as she is very knowledgeable, patient and genuinely committed to ensuring every student she works with excels. I have seen her successfully teach students from a wide range of backgrounds and with varying levels of need. Her sessions are engaging, and she makes sure complex concepts are clear and accessible, always linking theory to real-world issues. Samina is one of the brilliant lecturers I have ever known.

I had the chance to work closely with Samina during our time at the Birmingham study centre and we very quickly built a strong working relationship. From the start it was clear that Samina genuinely cares not just about teaching but about making a real difference to the students lives and futures. Samina puts in reql effort into creating real - meaningful change. Samina takes time to understand students properly and helps them build confidence in a way that has lasting impact.

Samina has a calm, approachable attitude which makes students feel comfortable and heard. She’s great at breaking things down so they actually make sense. I’ve seen how she supports students who are struggling and helps them turn things around consistently.
