About Ben

I have always enjoyed teaching and I am very passionate about first aid and medicine. The knowledge that what I'm teaching could one day help save a life brings me great joy. I have worked in healthcare since 2018, primarily as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for London Ambulance Service NHS Trust. Most recently, I have just completed my masters degree in Physician Associate Studies, and currently working as an EMT at large scale events. I also hold a level 3 Award in Education and Teaching.

About the lesson

Teaching first aid, pre-hospial care and a range of medical topics. Whether you're a beginner to first aid or already a healthcare professional looking to refresh or expand their knowledge, my sessions are tailored to suit your needs. Having been working in healthcare since 2018, I have extensive healthcare experience as well and experience mentoring a range of clinical grades.

What I can offer:
- Personalised lesson plans based on your specific needs and preferences.
- Engaging and interactive sessions using visual aids, simulations, and case-based discussions.
- Professional expertise and experience.
- Session logs as evidence for CPD hours.

Topics covered can include (but are not limited to):
- Human anatomy and physiology.
- Pathophysiology of diseases.
- ECG interpretation.
- History gathering and patient examination.
- Management of common medical conditions.
- Handling medical emergencies.
- Assessment and management of trauma patients.
- CPR and basic life support for adults, children, and newborns.
- I also have experience coaching study skills, including exam preparation, memory techniques, revision strategies, note-taking techniques and academic writing.

Perfect! Ben is an amazing tutor with a lot of patience. He ensures that classes are engaging and enjoyable. He goes above and beyond to explain any questions I have, making concepts much clearer. Thanks to his support, I have a much better understanding of ECG and feel well-prepared for my exam.

Perfect! Ben is Basically Brilliant! He's head is up to date with the science but hes feet are firmly on the ground. He knows botgthe Theory & Practice!Ben has Life Experience and experience of Life. He knows how to structure and deliver a session but he also knows how to be really flexible if circumstances or the client demands!

Would I want Ben to be treating me? YES! Would I want the guy treating me to have been trained by Ben? Absolutely! Would I totally Recommend Ben to anyone using Superprof? Well, no surprise it's a Yes! You can relay on Ben to deliver 100%

Great lesson using the medical model to take a patient history from start to finish. Your thought processes are spot on and knowledgable, just try not to rush and get ahead of yourself. Remember, slow and steady and you wont miss anything . Moving forward, we will start learning about body system anatomy and diseases, and when learning diseases we will simulate them for practice. So to improve, try to practice remembering the history taking structure so we have time to fit simulations into our lessons. But well done, good lesson!
