My teaching style is mostly goal orientated. As soon as the first class, after communicating with the student and seeing where they are and asking where they wish to be, I put small goals for the students that they should, with the best of their ability, achieve. The reason for this is that we make it clear that learning a language is a prosses that takes time and there is no shame in not being perfect immediately. We make small goals that the student can see their progress and celebrate it.
