About Calista
Hello, I am Calista, a 17-year-old nursing major, but I love teaching (and maybe even learning along with you)! I honestly love it when a student corrects me if I accidentally make a mistake in a practice exercise or just in the lesson in general. I will always give you a warning if I have to cancel a lesson, at least the morning of or the night before, depending on how quickly my schedule changes. I expect any students I tutor to do the same if possible. If there is an emergency, as long as there is communication, I am fine with the session being canceled. I hope that if you choose me, I can help you reach your learning goals or expectations.

My teaching technique would be a combination of visuals and practice to help enforce the information. A typical lesson plan would be to start by introducing the needed vocabulary for the lesson, giving examples, maybe a video and then practice. What sets me apart is that I am passionate about tutoring and helping others in general. It gives me joy and I know how it feels to hate that I can't get it so encouragement and even extra sessions can be given. The lessons are geared more toward elementary students.
