About Brian
I have taught over 3,000 students and at least 1,000 adult learners. I am in the process of learning Spanish, so I have the experience of a teacher, and the empathy of a student. This is my 4th year teaching/tutoring online. I have learned many things that have helped me improve my craft as a teacher. I will always be a teacher with fresh ideas because I am constantly growing and learning.

I employ many teaching methods and techniques. I have discovered many "tricks of the trade" from teaching in a public school for over 25 years.
A typical lesson plan will always include:
An anticipatory set (a way to bride what the learner knows with the material.
Teach to chosen material.
Have the student practice the newly taught skill.
Check for gaps by reviewing the material with the student.
Close with the main idea (repeat the main point).
My lessons can be geared to any age group but I have the most experience with 10-14 year olds.
