About Marie
I was born and raised in New Zealand with Japanese parents. After graduating high school, I moved to Tokyo for university and continued to work and live there for just over 11 years. I have now moved back to my hometown in Christchurch and hoping to use my language skills to help people learn!
People describe me as a kind and caring person, and I always do my best to encourage students with a positive attitude.

If you are wishing to learn and improve your Japanese conversational skills in a relaxed and enjoyable environment, you have come to the right place!
My lessons will be based on "free daily conversation" so the contents of the lesson is flexible based on the student's preferences everytime.
I will help you improve your pronounciation and correct any grammar when necessary, but the most important thing is to have fun speaking the language, so don't feel self conscious about making mistakes!
The trial lesson will be held online. From the 2nd time onwards, if you wish to have face to face lessons, they will be held in public places such as cafes, libraries etc. (not at the student's house).
