About Nakalizya (Nakie for short)
My name is Nakie Banda. I enjoy teaching English as a form of empowerment because it helps in communication and self expression. It is spoken in most parts of the world and also used as a medium of instruction not only at primary and High school level but also at university level.

Visualization as a learning and teaching approach enhances the learning experience. Bring back dull lessons to life. A display of pictures, videos, audio clips etc. help learners to assimilate information. Cooperative learning: This encourages learners of mixed abilities to actively participate in lessons. Verbally expressing their ideas develops their self confidence and enhances their communication and critical thinking skills. These are valuable life skills. Inquiry based instruction: Thought provoking questions arise from this which inspire learners to think for themselves and become independent thinkers. It also motivates learners to ask questions, investigate their own ideas to improve problem solving skill. Differentiation: It is not a one size fits all approach. Activities or tasks are assigned in accordance with learners' unique learning needs. The list is endless. I am proficient in English language and can only teach in English. I expect to encounter a mixed group of learners both gifted ones and the ones who just persevere. I am keen to teach from Grade 2 up to 9.
