About Avery
Working professionals and returning learners often tell me they feel stuck in their own heads when they try to sing. I remember finishing my degree at Belmont University and realizing that technique is useless without the right grit. I bring 7 years of experience using gospel and blues traditions to help you find your unique sound. We look at everything from diction and articulation to belting technique and breathing control.
You can expect us to keep things loose and jokey while we drill the fundamentals. I aim to make our sessions a place where you can actually enjoy the growth process.

First sessions are usually where we strip away the nerves and start building real vocal stamina. My background includes a BFA in Music Industry which helps me explain the mechanics of breath and pitch control clearly. We will spend time on microphone technique, warm up exercises, and exam preparation to ensure you are ready for any stage.
I assign homework vocal drills after every session to keep your voice in shape between our meetings. These drills are designed to extend your range and refine your vibrato control while keeping your throat healthy. My 7 years of experience have shown me exactly how to tailor these specific exercises for adults and hobbyists. I look forward to hearing what you can do with your voice next.
