About Helga
I am piano and music theory teacher
as well as a violinist and violist.
I love teaching because it gives me the opportunity to develop in students a passion for music.
I care about each individual student, and I don’t merely teach for the sake of teaching.
I believe in giving my best to my students.

Music Theory is an important aspect of music education.
Most of the time it is not a much loved
subject, but my goal is so both give a thorough understanding of music theory as well as making it enjoyable.
I believe in connecting the music theory to the actual music…what is the goal of music theory anyway if you take away the practical side of it?
For example, If I teach the blues scale, I would let students use that skill to improvise on the piano!!
