About Andrea

Throughout my 18 years of teaching, I have taught mostly Grade 6, with a couple years of Grade 5. Part of my current assignment is to support Grades 4-6 students in pull-out Math intervention to support basic facts fluency, as well as supporting the work being done in class. I am no stranger to preparing students for PATs. Additionally, I have taught FSL for each of my teaching years, at times to multiple classes. I am passionate about seeing students grow in their learning, as well as finding different ways to support students' growth and excitement.

About the lesson

Are you worried about PAT's or wanting to keep pace with the Math? Let's find out how you learn best, and identify some supports and strategies to promote growth and confidence.

A typical lesson would begin with review, and questions you may have.Next, we'll go through strategies (Math), flashcards (French), or a general review of content (PAT prep). We'll do some practice together, then discuss homework for the following session. Questions can be asked at any point.

Great stamina and sight word recognition. Working towards 3-digit number recognition, counting up and down from various places under 1 000, reading level boost.
