About Monica
I have taught in public schools for 8 years starting in Massachusetts and then moving to the Bay Area in California. I have experience teaching 9th-10th grade, as well as adult classes in the subject of English. I studied and double-majored in English and Comparative Literature at the University of California, Irvine where I received my BA. Zot zot! I then attended Boston University where I gained my MA in Education - Instruction and Curriculum Design.
I currently work at a high-performing charter high school where I teach ESL, coach staff members, and am an Assistant Principal of Student Supports. My planning and instructional practices have gained results and have been recognized so much that I have led many workshops for teachers from across the country to support them in their classrooms.
