About Yara
"Why do I choose to spend my time sitting at the piano? Have you ever wondered if you could actually play the music that keeps you company during your commute? I teach because I love watching the lightbulb moment happen when a student finally understands a complex chord voicing.
As a Berklee College of Music graduate with a degree in Vocal Performance, I bring a deep understanding of theory to my piano sessions. I have spent 13 years working with intermediate learners, returning students, and those who want to perform for others.
My approach balances technical sight reading and rhythm with the joy of playing pop and contemporary hits. Music theory and memorization techniques are never boring when we relate them to the songs you adore. I am confident in my ability to help you find your unique musical voice."

"Arranging music for students is my secret obsession. It feels like a small honest confession to say that I enjoy writing custom sheet music arrangements more than anything else.
I create these charts for the songs you choose to ensure you stay engaged. Intermediate learners and returning adults often find that my 13 years of experience makes the learning curve feel less steep. We focus on accompaniment skills and grade exam prep for ABRSM and Trinity levels. You will find that our time together moves at a pace that keeps your fingers busy."
