I will spend time with you on your subject, until you master your subject. I will lecture on a subject and quiz you. The quizzes will be in the form of a computer program, that you can spend as much time as you need, with my hints, to speed up the process.
Here is an example of how I learn; I will expect the same from you. Factor the quadratic expression as a product of a linear function. Set the value of the polynomial equal to zero, (2x + 1)(x - 3)(x -2) = 0. The zeros polynomials are -1/2, 2, and 3, but how did I get this answer. A hint gives us the answer. I plug "please explain algebra: (2x + 1)(x -3)(x - 2) = 0" into ChatGPC and the result is: The equation you provided is a polynomial equation in algebra. To solve it, we need to find the values of 'x' that make the equation equal to zero. This equation is in factored form, meaning it is expressed as a product of three factors: (2x + 1), (x - 3), and (x - 2).
The equation states that the product of these three factors is equal to zero. According to the zero product property, if the product of any factors is zero, then at least one of the factors must be zero. Therefore, we can set each factor equal to zero and solve for 'x' individually.
Setting the first factor, 2x + 1, equal to zero:
2x + 1 = 0
Subtracting 1 from both sides:
2x = -1
Dividing both sides by 2:
x = -1/2
Now, setting the second factor, x - 3, equal to zero:
x - 3 = 0
Adding 3 to both sides:
x = 3
Finally, setting the third factor, x - 2, equal to zero:
x - 2 = 0
Adding 2 to both sides:
x = 2
Therefore, the solutions to the equation (2x + 1)(x - 3)(x - 2) = 0 are x = -1/2, x = 3, and x = 2. These are the values of 'x' that make the equation equal to zero.
