About Nandipha

Hello everyone!

My name is Nandipha May, and I am very excited to be your ESL teacher. I believe that learning English should be both meaningful and enjoyable, and I am committed to creating a classroom environment where you feel comfortable, respected, and confident to participate.

I am a dedicated and professional teacher who understands the importance of preparation, patience, and clear communication. I take my responsibilities seriously and always strive to be organized, punctual, and supportive. My goal is not only to help you improve your English skills, but also to help you build confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

Although I may not have many years of formal teaching experience, I am passionate about education and continuous learning. I have invested time in developing my knowledge of English grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and effective teaching methods. I am committed to ongoing professional growth so that I can provide you with high-quality lessons that meet your needs.

In our classroom, mistakes are welcome — they are a natural and important part of learning. I encourage you to ask questions, share your ideas, and challenge yourself. I will always provide constructive feedback and guidance to help you improve step by step.

About the lesson

My approach to private tutoring is student-centred, supportive, and goal-oriented. I believe that every learner is unique, so I take time to understand each student’s strengths, challenges, interests, and learning style before designing lessons. My goal is not only to help students improve their language skills but also to build their confidence and independence as learners.

I use a communicative and practical methodology. This means I focus on helping students use the language in real-life situations rather than only memorising rules. Grammar and vocabulary are always taught in context, through conversations, role-plays, reading passages, and interactive activities. I also integrate listening, speaking, reading, and writing in every lesson to ensure balanced development. What makes me unique as a teacher is my patience, encouragement, and ability to simplify complex concepts. I create a safe and positive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions.

I am proficient in English and can teach entirely in English. However, my main focus is to immerse students in English as much as possible to help them improve quickly and naturally.

In a typical lesson, students can expect a warm introduction or review of previous content, followed by a clear explanation of the day’s objective. We then move into guided practice through structured exercises and interactive speaking activities. I include real-life examples and practical tasks to make lessons engaging and relevant. At the end of each session, we review key points, address any questions, and set small, achievable goals for the next lesson.

My lessons are aimed at beginner, elementary, and intermediate learners. I work well with children, teenagers, and adults who want to improve their conversational English, grammar, pronunciation, or overall fluency.
