About David

I've been teaching Tai Chi since 2015 and been practicing Tai Chi since 2009. I have a computer science degree and an MBA, and I run an Energy Business, and I've made the time to do the "alternative" health things that I'm passionate about. I'm a Reiki Master and I've learned Kabbalah, Numerology, African Djembe Drumming, Mindfulness, Meditation, and my wife does Directed Pressure Point Technique (DPPT). We eat, drink, breathe and think consciously, and practice intermittent fasting, autophagy and other conscious choices. We live in Cape Town with our 3 cats, 4 dogs and tortoise. We enjoy walking, hiking, skiing, motorbike riding, and drinking coffee with our friends and colleagues.

About the lesson

Mindfulness and Relaxation training using Tai Chi, Energy Work, Discussion, stretching, lower body strength, and other training. I come to you if you're in Cape Town, and by special arrangement I travel further afield, usually for a day or longer of Tai Chi and Mindfulness. If you're prepared to have Tai Chi in a public place, then I can invite people at a lower rate and I give you part of their fee back as a rebate. You underwrite the class, and if it's only you, you have 100% of my time. Or we can still have class in a public place, with only you. I am an Ancient Wisdom expert, a scientist with two BSc degrees and an MBA. I've run my own software development and energy consulting business for 30 years, and I've learned how to integrate healthy choices with a busy schedule.

David's response
Thank you, Amy and your friends. It was interesting doing Tai Chi in a relatively confined space but we worked it out. We had a few interesting discussions. Amy and friends followed conscientiously and I look forward to more lessons.

David's response
I really enjoyed having Zuzana in her first Tai Chi Class this morning. And she really enjoyed herself and felt relaxed and energised after the class.

Details

Note that I offer my first two lessons at half price each. This works better for me and makes my students more committed to the process. Students can cancel classes free of charge up to 1 hour before the class starts. After that there is a 50% fee, eg if I turn up and you don't turn up. Please ask about other rates. Please note that the R600 per hour rate is a "park rate" where others can join. And I give back R50 per "other person". Happy to explain. For private classes at people's houses, I charge R750 per hour including travel, and up to 3 people can join for this price.
