About Syrine

I am Syrine, a postgraduate student in international and European business law at Trinity College Dublin. I graduated from a double degree in English and French law, which led me to pursue my legal education in both the UK for two years as well as in France. My native languages are French and Arabic but I have become fluent in English (C2) after spending two years abroad in the UK and studying a full-time degree in English. I have studied before my dual legal degree, French and English literature, as well as geopolitical and political sciences. I love to read and to learn different foreign languages as I believe it is a good way to get to know about other cultures and to develop one’s understanding of the world. I also love to teach and to share this passion with others.

About the lesson

I believe teaching a language is about teaching a whole cultural world, which can be a bit challenging. This explains why I foster a learning experience which mobilizes a set of all of the linguistic skills, reading, listening, writing and mostly speaking. My passion for learning foreign languages taught me the importance of practicing and speaking a language to have faster results. Furthermore, my approach is tailored to each student’s particular needs and linguistic level and skills. I believe learning and teaching languages or literature is a sharing learning process where open discussions between the teacher and the student are more than welcome. I also like to deliver a positive learning experience promoting fun and learning, in accordance with the student’s preferences.
