About Joakim

I’m a passionate guitar teacher with a Degree in Music and over a decade of teaching experience, working with students of all ages and skill levels since 2012. Music has always been a huge part of my life, and I love helping others experience the confidence and joy that comes from learning an instrument.

I specialize in using the G4 Guitar Method, which gives students a clear, structured path so they always know what to practice and how they are improving. Seeing students go from complete beginners to confident players is the most rewarding part of what I do.

My goal is to create a positive, encouraging learning environment where students feel supported, motivated, and proud of their progress every step of the way.

About the lesson

I teach guitar using the G4 Guitar Method, a structured and progressive program designed to make learning clear, motivating, and fun. Lessons are gamified so students stay engaged, and each session builds step by step on the last, helping students see real improvement every single week.

I focus on building strong foundations in technique, rhythm, and musical understanding while still learning songs students enjoy. This balance keeps students excited while developing real skills that last.

Lessons are ideal for beginners through to intermediate players, both kids and adults. With a Degree in Music and teaching since 2012, I know how to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and confidence levels, making sure students feel supported, challenged, and proud of their progress.

Cai has been doing a great job in lessons so far. He is a focused student with a great attitude, and I can already tell he has been practicing between lessons, which is really helping his progress. After just 3 lessons, he is progressing very well and building confidence each week. Anne was absolutely lovely to deal with. She genuinely tried her best to encourage her granddaughter to give guitar lessons a proper go and clearly cares deeply about supporting her interests and development. Communication was kind, thoughtful and respectful throughout the entire process. Even though the timing wasn’t quite right, I truly appreciated her openness and positive attitude. I would be more than happy to work with Anne and her granddaughter in the future.
