About Madeline
Although I took a break from tutoring when I began graduate school, I put myself through undergrad tutoring a very wide range of subjects, with over 50 students ranging from English composition to philosophy to quantum mechanics and GRE prep. I love teaching - it fills me with energy for my own studies, and nothing is more fulfilling than hearing about your students' latest successes. I know that hiring a tutor can be challenging for some, so I welcome comments about how you learn best, so I can adapt my style to suit you.

I am a PhD student at a top 5 program in my field, and I have a passion for helping students with nontraditional backgrounds or some early struggles with academia get into the program of their dreams. I work with students one-on-one to create a highly efficient individualized study plan to meet your goals, with an appropriate balance of independent work and tutoring to fit their budget and scheduling constraints. Outside of lessons, I am reachable via text to offer free support on any confusing independent practice, so that you never feel like you have to spend hours figuring everything out for yourself. First lesson is always free with no obligation from you, so message me to confirm your appointment.
