About Kirsty
I have experience studying and teaching Uniformed Public/Protective Services. I am extremely passionate about the subject and since the introduction of the examinations, Unit 2 and 6, I wish to provide extra support and guidance to learners sitting exams. I truly believe that learners should adopt an independent approach to their learning, and this is something which I embed into my lessons for my current learners. Not only studying the important content, but also developing skills to transfer into higher education or a career pathway. I also teach many of the coursework-based modules and able to provide support for these too, content, proof-reading, essay writing tips, plus much more. Lastly, I have experience being a tutor and able to assist with UCAS applications and personal statement writing. I have a varied and personalised approach to teaching, depending on individual learner needs. Covering revision, exam questions and past papers, research activities and discussion, blended learning activities, student-led and focused. Lesson duration can vary, depending on needs and requirements, but typically between 45-60 minutes. Lessons are aimed at college or degree level learners, aged 16+. Prior to lessons taking place, an initial assessment and meeting will take place to discuss priorities and focus.
