About Daniel
I am an experienced secondary maths classroom teacher. I love teaching maths and bringing the fun with catchy rhymes and different ways to help students remove the stigma towards their maths learning. I love maths and I am firm believer in it is okay to make mistakes as these are opportunities to learn how to get it right.
I am also a fully qualified dance teacher with the IDTA in freestyle and studied several styles of dance at The Urdang Academy in London. I have 10+ years of experience teaching students of all ages and ability and in many styles.
I am currently working towards my qualifications in order to gain Qualified Teacher Status, I study alongside my full time job where I am a head of year in an outstanding secondary school where I manage a full year group and look after all behavioural, academic, safeguarding and promote positivity for all the young people in the year group.
I have worked across multiple schools where I have been employed as a full time unqualified maths teacher giving me the classroom experience as well as my current role giving me a pastoral point of view to get the best out of students.

In my first lesson I will assess their level by going through a baseline test to analyse strengths and weaknesses and sequence the learning to bring the best out in the students to develop their mastery in their maths.
I am very flexible with my teaching and will differentiate to suit individual needs, I have experience working with SEND students and have an understanding of meeting needs in as much capacity as I possibly can. If students would like to work on any particular topic I can tailor my lessons and work on whatever you would like me to in order to build their confidence and help them reach their potential.
I like to bring the fun to maths and will use different songs and rhymes to help embed methods with students and using a different approach to break that stigma with maths.
