I studied and taught many languages (Afrikaans, English, German, Basic French, basic expressions in isiXhosa), but Afrikaans is my home language and I prefer to teach Afrikaans only.

Ada's life revolves around teaching and learning . Her passion for teaching is palpable from the moment you meet her. She is also an exceptional researcher who leaves no stone unturned in search of facts and new knowledge. She walks the extra mile for her students and takes lecturing to a new level. Every student that comes through her hands is the recipient of her vast knowledge and expertise. She makes an indelible impression on everyone she meets.

A more dedicated person than Ada must still be born. Her commitment to her students and Institution is commendable due to her trustworthy nature. Ada not only lectured, she guides her students and most of all she mentors, guides and encourages her students. She is not a clock watcher, she will spend hours preparing her work for the following day. She is a person of character with very high moral values and every student who encounters her strives to be like her. She is highly professional but she did not forget the human behind a screen. She interacts with her students and motivates participation. She is well respected by her students. Students who did not have to do a bridging model went to her class just to learn from her as she has a very unique way of teaching.
Not only is she excellent in Afrikaans but also in English.

I’ve known Ada for about 14 years. We started working as academics at an institution of higher learning. Ada is a dependable, and committed lecturer who always goes the extra mile for her students. Her disciplinary knowledge is commendable. She has the ability to make students sit in wanting of more even when the lecture is officially over.
