"Sometimes I find that the hardest part of piano is simply knowing where to place your hands to make the instrument feel like an extension of your body. My Diploma of Music Industry provided the technical backbone for my 10 years of teaching, but my real training came from helping 224 students navigate scales, arpeggios, and sight transposition.
I treat every session as a dialogue between the player and the keys. Whether we are drilling ear training, perfecting pedaling technique, or preparing for ABRSM or Trinity exams, the goal is always clarity and ease.
Hand independence and posture are the foundations of everything I teach, from classical repertoire to contemporary pop rhythms. I lean into a relaxed, creative, and patient style because music requires room to breathe. I try to keep the atmosphere light so that even the most technical concepts feel manageable. You can expect a learning plan built on these principles and aimed at your specific goals."
