About Thien

Hello, I’m Thien.

If you have ever:

• Learned a lot of vocabulary but still could not speak
• Understood a little when listening but could not react fast enough when Vietnamese people spoke quickly
• Or studied before but could not actually use the language in real life

→ The problem is not that you lack knowledge.
→ You are missing a proper system to build speaking reflexes.

That is exactly what I focus on building for you.

I do not teach so that you simply “know” Vietnamese.
I teach so that you can use it immediately after each lesson.

About the lesson

You will not sit and listen to theory.

From the very first minutes of class, you will be guided to:

• Understand sentence structure through real-life context
• Remember vocabulary by using it repeatedly instead of memorizing isolated words
• Most importantly, train your speaking reflex so you do not need to translate in your head

During class:

️ You will speak more than I do
️ Your mistakes will be corrected immediately, including pronunciation, tone, and word choice
You will practice using real-life situations, not textbook examples

Your Progress in 3 Months
Month 1 – Practical Foundation

You will learn:

• Correct pronunciation and tones
• Basic communication such as greetings, introductions, and asking for information

Result: You can introduce yourself and maintain short conversations without getting stuck mid-sentence.

Month 2 – Living in Vietnamese

You will practice:

• Ordering food, shopping, asking for directions, and simple conversations
• Understanding slow to normal-speed speech

Result: You can handle most basic situations in daily life using Vietnamese.

Month 3 – Confident Conversations

You will learn to:

• Speak in longer sentences
• Express opinions and talk about past experiences
• Understand natural Vietnamese expressions, especially those used in Saigon

Result: You can hold a 10–15 minute conversation with native speakers.

How You Will Learn

Instead of memorizing vocabulary lists, you will learn through real situations.

Example situation: At a restaurant

“Cho tôi một cà phê sữa đá.”
“I’d like an iced milk coffee.”

“Ít đá thôi.”
“Less ice, please.”

“Ở đây có món nào không cay không?”
“Do you have any dishes that are not spicy?”

After that:

• You will practice dialogues
• Switch roles
• And expand your sentences
The goal is for you to react naturally in real life without getting stuck when situations change.
