About Micha

I believe in a system of mutual respect between teacher and student. I will always treat my students with respect and kindness, and expect the same for me. My math grades in high school have been consistent 90%+ except for end year where I got 83% on my report. I did not achieve these grades on my own but had help from my mother who is also a math teacher. This is why I am confident I can help you achieve your goals, as I not only have a year's worth of experience teaching gr8's at my school, but also have years worth of experience learning from my mom and her successful teaching style.

About the lesson

I offer extra lessons in Afrikaans for struggling math students or any student looking to sharpen up their math grades. Whether it is to go from a 20% to a 60% or a 60% to 80%. I teach anywhere from Gr.4 to Gr10. My teaching style: I believe that any student can pass Mathematics with a little hard work and a lot of help from a tutor. I give all my students a baseline test in math so that I may get a scope of the student's knowledge. When I have determined where they stand we will start with weekly 1-hour sessions, after every session I give homework to be completed by the next session or to be sent to me a day or two before. The homework I give is based off the student's curriculum and upcoming test, and the work that we went through during our session. Any student who is committed and does their homework can expect results from my teaching, as that is the only way in my experience to learn and improve mathematics. Scheduling and classes: The way I book my classes is as follows: Every Saturday I send my clients my schedule for the following week. They then find an open slot and book it with me. I do have transport to have the lesson at their home, but will need my petrol to be covered in such case. Otherwise, the lessons can be held at my home in the Silver Lakes area.

I've personally known Micha for 7 years now and went to the same primary school and i have seen how well he explains mathematics to others leading to them grasping concepts that some teachers could not get them to understand as some teachers have no patience and make students feel stupid, as for Micha who is extremely empathetic and patient which causes students to feel more open and comfortable causing them to ask more questions and actually learn instead of being too scared to ask in fear of embarrassment, this is why i think Micha will be a great tutor
