About Prranit
About Me
I am a passionate computer science tutor with a strong academic background and a hands-on approach to teaching. I hold a 4.0 GPA and have been admitted to the University of Pennsylvania for AI Engineering.
I specialize in helping students truly understand how code works, not just memorize syntax. My tutoring emphasizes active problem-solving, live coding, and real-world applications, ensuring students gain practical skills they can confidently apply in class, projects, and beyond. I focus on breaking down complex concepts into clear, intuitive steps and guiding students through the reasoning process behind each solution.
Whether a student is new to programming or looking to strengthen their skills for advanced coursework, I aim to create a supportive environment where questions are encouraged and progress is measurable.
My goal is not only to help students succeed academically, but also to build confidence and independence as problem solvers and future engineers.

Teaching Method & Techniques
My teaching approach is hands-on, problem-driven, and practical. I believe computer science is best learned by doing, not just by listening or memorizing concepts.
I introduce concepts briefly, then immediately apply them through live coding, debugging, and real-world problems
Students actively write, modify, and test code during lessons
I use guided questioning to help students reason through problems instead of giving answers right away
Concepts are reinforced through mini-challenges, projects, and iterative improvement
I adapt explanations to match the student’s background, learning pace, and goals
I focus on building both technical skill and problem-solving mindset, helping students think like engineers.
Typical Lesson Plan
A standard lesson follows this structure:
Check-in & goal setting (5–10 min)
Review previous material or homework
Define what we want to accomplish in this session
Concept introduction (10–15 min)
Explain the key idea with visuals, analogies, or short examples
Emphasize why the concept matters and where it’s used
Hands-on implementation (30–40 min)
Live coding together or working through a problem step-by-step
Debugging common mistakes in real time
Applying the concept to practical scenarios
Practice & extension (10–15 min)
Student solves a similar problem independently
Optional challenge problem for deeper understanding
Wrap-up & next steps (5 min)
Summarize key takeaways
Assign practice or project-based work if needed
Lessons are flexible and can shift toward project work, exam prep, or interview-style problems depending on the student’s needs.
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor
Hands-on first: Every lesson involves real coding, not just theory
Industry-style problem solving: I teach how to think, debug, and iterate like a real developer
Personalized instruction: Lessons are adapted to each student’s skill level and goals
Concept clarity: I break down complex topics into intuitive, understandable steps
Long-term skill building: I focus on transferable skills, not just passing a class
My goal is for students to leave sessions feeling confident and capable of tackling problems on their own.
Who My Lessons Are For
My tutoring is suitable for:
High school students taking AP Computer Science or introductory programming courses
Beginner to intermediate learners learning programming for the first time
Students preparing for exams, projects, or internships
Learners who prefer hands-on, interactive learning over lecture-based instruction
I support a wide range of topics, including:
