About Sharon
Hello! I'm Sharon Zhang! I recently finished the IB, achieving a 42.75 (98.9 ATAR) and a 32/34 in the Extended Essay in English. This has put me in the fortunate position of studying a Bachelor of Arts in History at the University of Oxford! In my first year at university, I have achieved the highest mark ever recorded for one module, and a first in 3/4 modules generally. I'm a kind and patient tutor who will push you to improve your skills in various humanities subjects, especially English and History. Whatever your goal is, I'm here to help you achieve it.

My lessons are generally 60 minutes long, focused on improving your study habits and your general critical thinking skills. These skills will help you boost your essay writing and critical thinking, and help you get better grades in humanities subjects.

We'll review teacher feedback together, practice planning essays, and go through writing structure together.
IB students: I teach English, History, Psychology, and TOK, focusing on essay writing and critical thinking skills. I also offer support with the EE, IA, and HL essay for these subjects, where I will review your drafts and help you develop your ideas.
UK applicants: As an Oxford student myself, I understand how hard it can be to apply to university overseas with little guidance. As a result, I offer history admissions tutoring and mock interviews to people who do not otherwise have support from their schools. In these lessons, we will work together on creating a personal statement, practice mock interviews, and if applicable, mock admissions tests. Generally 1-2 lessons is sufficient to wrap your head around the HAT and the application process.
