About Thomas
I have taught a variety of different students both older and younger than myself and at beginner and intermediate levels from all musical backgrounds, and for each one of them my main priority is to keep them interested in playing and making sure that they find joy in learning the instrument. I try to get to know each person I’m teaching so that I can tailor my lessons individually to suit their interests and specific learning aims, and also ensure I am helping them progress in the best possible way for them. I am not a strict person and will always remain friendly and respectful, and will never give up on a student or their goals.

My approach to teaching is prioritising engagement and enjoyment but I will also make sure that we stay focused and make tangible progress every lesson. I have extensive experience tutoring beginner and intermediate level pianists but am very open to teaching those at a more advanced level too. I am also happy to teach those of any age, and I have experience teaching those with special needs. I have an education in both classical and jazz piano and regularly play in a vast range of genres.
