I first met Dalena Wood in 2014 when she was a high school learner at H/S P.J. Olivier in Grahamstown,South Africa.She was a hardworking and capable student and has won awards for her service to the school. She worked at the school library, assisting with cataloging.As her teacher I am proud of her growth and development during high school.
After school, Dalena volunteered as my library assistant and worked at the school’s after care. She helped to digitize our library catalogue and assisted with administrative tasks. She was able to workreliably,independently and competently. Dalena also shined during the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic when her role changed to screener and sanitizer.
Her versatility comes from dedication, strong work ethic and diligence. Her sense of humor and even-tempered personality makes her a joy to work with.Her commitment grants her the strength to take control of difficult situations and assert herself when needed.
Dalena would be an asset to any organization.
