About Mayra

Graduated in Social Communication and having worked in the profession, it is however in education that I found my way. After having had many experiences as a teacher (of English and Portuguese, my mother tongue) since 2007 and teaching French for six years now, I decided to devote myself entirely to teaching the French language. Actually, my journey in learning and teaching French is very long: I started studying it in 2009, I followed an intensive training course in Montreal in 2010 and since then I have never stopped to study and deepen my knowledge as a student and teacher. Now, I'm doing a Master 2 at Paris Descartes (Paris 5) in Didactics of French as a Foreign Language. Since I learnt this language as a foreign language, I have at the same time the eyes of a learner and a teacher, which allowed me to develop several techniques of learning and understanding over the years.

About the lesson

I build the course according to the needs of the learners, which allows it to be 100% tailor-made. For beginners, I use a basic manual and, as we advance and according to the student's progress, I introduce different grammar points (in accordance with a logical progression but considering the needs of the student ), authentic materials and more and more conversation.
