About Federica

Hello! My name is Federica. I attend the second year of the master's degree course in Linguistic, Literary and Translation Sciences (Russian monolingual course) at the Sapienza University of Rome. I graduated with honors in Linguistic and Intercultural Mediation (Russian and English) in the aforementioned university. I have been a student of the Advanced School of Advanced Studies (SSAS) for the past five years. I offer Russian repetitions to three-year language students and anyone interested or needing to learn and / or enhance this language. I obtained the TORFL B2 certification during my recent five-month study stay at the University of Tomsk. During my studies I studied Slavic philology, the history of the Russian language and Slavic linguistics. I also offer English repetitions (up to level B2 / C1), Spanish (up to level B1); help homework for elementary, middle and high school children; repetitions of Italian scholastic and Italian as a foreign language. During my university education I was able to acquire theoretical and practical skills in the teaching of modern languages, as well as in the field of translation, general linguistics and glottology. For the last five years I have been involved in research activities, having developed several papers and research projects for the SSAS. Therefore, I am available to help and advise girls and boys who need to do research or write a thesis.

About the lesson

My methodology varies according to the characteristics and needs of the boy, as well as the subject to be taught. In general, however, I initially invite the student to illustrate his method of study, in order to identify its strong points and what, instead, it is necessary to correct. In a second moment, I guide the student in reading and understanding the text, helping him to highlight the main topics. I consider it essential to summarize and repeat it aloud. I prefer to plan the lessons to optimize the time, so I usually ask the student in advance about the topics he wants to address in class.
