About Serqueña, Malia
Hello! My name is Malia Erica Serqueña, a fourth-year BS Management Accounting student and a Certified Bookkeeper (CB). Like many aspiring accountants, I entered college with little knowledge of what accountancy and accounting-related programs were truly like. Because I lacked a strong foundation in accounting concepts, I struggled during my early college years and was eventually removed from my original program. That experience taught me the importance of preparation, perseverance, and having the right guidance from the very beginning.
Today, I am pursuing Management Accounting and have successfully earned my National Certification in Bookkeeping. Through my tutoring sessions, I hope to help high school students and future accounting professionals build a solid understanding of basic accounting, bookkeeping, and the accounting process before they enter college. My goal is to give students the head start that I never had—helping them develop confidence, avoid common struggles, and become better prepared for the challenges and opportunities that await them in their accounting journey.
