About Zinnia
I’m a guitar teacher with over 9 years of experience and a background in Music Education with a focus on guitar. I believe that music is not just about playing notes it's about expressing who you are. My goal is to help students connect emotionally with the music they play while developing strong technical skills. I teach proper finger positioning, picking techniques, and fretboard fluency so you can move confidently across the instrument. Music theory is also part of every lesson, giving you the tools to understand what you're playing and why it works. I tailor lessons to each student’s goals and learning style, whether you're just starting out or looking to deepen your skills. We work on everything from chord transitions and rhythm to solo phrasing and improvisation. I especially love guiding students to find their unique voice through songwriting or performance. Alongside technical growth, I emphasise emotional expression and musical storytelling. Lessons are supportive, structured, and fun. My experience spans many genres, so we can explore classical pieces, rock, jazz, or acoustic fingerstyle. I’m here to help you grow as a musician one chord, one song, one breakthrough at a time. I work especially well with learners aiming for technical precision or creative expression. Some students thrive on structure and classical pieces, while others want to compose, perform, or explore modern sounds. I support both approaches and adapt my teaching style to help each student grow with confidence. Creative expression is always encouraged. From writing your first riff to mastering complex fingerstyle, we work together to turn goals into progress. I create a welcoming, motivating space where students feel excited to learn and improve. Whether you're just starting out or refining your sound, I'm here to guide your journey.
