About Elisabel

I’m a native Spanish speaker and an English to Spanish audiovisual translator, as well as a tutor of both languages. I studied Translation and Modern Foreign Language Teaching, which gives me both the technical and practical understanding of how languages work and how people learn them.

I’ve lived in Spain, the UK, and the USA, so I bring an international perspective to my lessons and a deep understanding of what it’s like to learn and use a second language in real life. I’ve been in your position, which helps me connect with you and support you in a realistic and empathetic way.

On a personal level, I enjoy simple things like doing jigsaw puzzles, going for nature walks, practising yoga, and reading. I’m also a parent to an 8-year-old who is growing up learning three languages, which keeps me very connected to the exciting (and challenging!) language learning process from another perspective.

If you’re looking for someone approachable, patient, and experienced—who truly understands both sides of the language journey—I’d be happy to work with you.

About the lesson

I offer conversational Spanish sessions designed for students of all ages who already have a basic/intermediate level and want to start speaking with confidence.

These short and effective 30-minute lessons are not about grammar drills or memorising vocabulary — they’re about real communication. My goal is to help you express yourself, get your message across, and feel comfortable speaking Spanish in everyday situations.

As a native Spanish speaker who learnt English as a second language and lived in the UK for 14 years, I truly understand the challenges: the fear of making mistakes, the lack of confidence, and the frustration of “knowing” a language but not speaking it.

You can choose the topics that interest you — from daily life to deeper conversations — and we’ll focus on speaking naturally, not perfectly. Mistakes are not only welcome, they’re part of the process.

My sessions are:
