About Barry

Who I Am & Why I Teach
I’m an English tutor who’s tired of seeing smart students stay quiet because English feels hard and embarrassing. I’m interested in teaching because I believe anyone can speak and write with confidence when lessons are practical, personal, and not boring. My goal is simple: help you stop translating in your head and start using English for real life, exams, and opportunities.

About the lesson

Why My Lessons Are Different:

1. We teach English like it’s used in real life, not just textbooks. Real convos, real writing, real results.
2. Small classes, max 8 students. You get personal feedback on YOUR essays + speaking mistakes every week.
3. Confidence first, grammar second. We get you talking without fear, then we clean up the grammar. No more freezing in class.

I’ve known Barry for 8 months as my online English tutor. He’s a patient and practical Superprof who focuses on real speaking, not just grammar rules.

One experience that stood out: I used to freeze during class presentations. Barry made me practice 5-minute voice notes every week and gave direct feedback on my tone + filler words. After 6 weeks I did a full presentation at work without notes for the first time.

I recommend Barry because he adapts to each student. He noticed I learn better with examples from my job, so he changed his lessons for me. If you want English that actually works in real life, he’s the tutor to pick.
