I am a kind of a guide who usually tries to interact with a student before explaining anything or starting any chapter. Because there a numerous types of students all around, and if we start explaining the topics before knitting about the student, then it really gets tough to explain. Because there are slow as well as fast learners, and as a guide it is our responsibility to make a student understand, rather than rushing to complete the syllabus.
But again, it also depends on the need of the student, and everything depends on the time left with us.
