About Millie
Hi! I’m a friendly, patient and supportive tutor who loves helping children grow in confidence as much as in ability. I work with children aged 4–11 and understand that every child learns differently — there’s no “one way” that fits everyone.
I wanted to go into tutoring because I’ve seen how much pressure children can feel at school, and I believe learning should feel encouraging, not overwhelming. Some children just need things explained in a different way, a bit more time, or someone who really listens — that’s where I come in.
I’m especially passionate about building self-belief. When a child starts to say “I can’t do this,” my goal is to help them say “I’ll try.” Watching children realise they can do something they once found hard is the best part of teaching.
My sessions are calm, positive and adapted to your child’s pace, so they feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and enjoy learning.

I provide fun, supportive and engaging lessons for children aged 4–11, tailored to each child’s individual needs and learning style. My approach focuses on building confidence as well as skills, because children learn best when they feel safe, encouraged and proud of their progress.
I use a mix of structured learning and interactive activities to keep lessons enjoyable while still aligned with the school curriculum. Whether your child needs help with reading, writing, maths, phonics, homework support, or boosting overall confidence, I work at their pace and celebrate every achievement.
I aim to create a calm, positive environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and developing a love for learning.
