About Darryl
I have worked with students from various backgrounds, and those who have continued to attend my sessions have passed, sometimes with distinctions.
When I was a student, I used to have difficulty with certain subjects, and through hard work and dedication I managed to achieve success. I believe this experience led me to be better equipped to teach students, as I know what is like to struggle. However, I can tell students that there is light at the end of the tunnel if they are willing to put in the effort.
Furthermore, I believe that any student has the potential to pass with distinctions. If I could do it, so can they.

My methodology involves me explaining the theory (in Afrikaans or English) to high school or university students, and then helping them through one or more exercises. If I believe the student is ready, I allow them to explain what they have learnt to me, and give them some time to complete exercises on their own. Once they are finished, I ask them to submit the the answers to me, and we go through it together.
I believe my methodology is unique, because I allow the student to figuratively step into my shoes and explain the lesson I gave them to me. In addition, I might include real life examples during my sessions, for example real plants when discussing plant anatomy.
