About Maria
I have worked with piano students in both private studios and academic settings, and I am comfortable teaching students at all levels, from beginners to advanced performers.
I currently work with the nonprofit Musical Memories Project. Performance is an important part of musical growth. On the first Saturday of each month, we present a program at retirement homes and memory care centers. I encourage my students to prepare a piece suitable for these programs so they can share their music and gain valuable performance experience.

I have decades of experience teaching piano using both traditional and Suzuki methods. Building a strong foundation empowers students to learn and grow independently, even without a teacher. This foundation includes note reading, music theory, technical development, and studying a wide range of repertoire—from classical to gospel, as well as pop and jazz.
I work with beginners to advanced students. The 1st lesson is free. My fee after that is $50 for an hour lesson, online or in person.
