About Yushrah

Hi, I’m Yushrah — passionate about helping students discover the beauty of Afrikaans. I create a warm, supportive space where learners feel confident to ask questions and grow. My patient, personalized approach makes learning to speak, read, and write Afrikaans fun and rewarding.

I have experience working with younger children, having assisted at a school where I supported learners who needed extra help — including one-on-one intervention sessions. I’ve also worked with students who struggle to read, acting as a reader and scribe to help them engage with learning in a way that suits their needs. In my free time, I help kids in my street with reading, offering extra support and encouragement to build their confidence and skills.

About the lesson

My Afrikaans lessons are unique because they combine fun, interactive learning with personalized teaching methods tailored to your needs. Whether you’re a beginner or advanced, you’ll enjoy practical lessons that build confidence, improve fluency, and make learning Afrikaans enjoyable, engaging, and effective.

Yushrah is an amazing and trusted tutor as she has previously tutored my child and I have seen an astronomically great amount of improvement since she has tutored my son. She is very patient and very kind she knows her way around teaching and is super outstanding when it comes to making her student feel like have achieved something. She is over all an amazing tutor and would recommend her to anyone and everyone.
