About Dominic
I am a teacher and translator from London, with more than five years’ tutoring experience with students from all over the world. I studied French and Russian at the University of Cambridge for four years, graduating with a Starred First Class BA. During my studies, I completed a semester at Saint Petersburg State University in Russia, so I bring cultural insight to every class. While literature, music, and cinema are very dear to me, I’m just as enthusiastic about good conversation! As a speaker of five languages (English, French, Russian, Spanish, and Japanese), I understand the highs and lows of language-learning. Tutoring is a way for me to help you find and nurture your love for Russian, improving your accuracy and fluency along the way.

I offer tailored Russian lessons, focusing on your individual needs and goals from the very first session. I have spent more than half a decade studying Russian intensively, so my skills-based teaching is informed by my experiences of learning Russian. I specialise in working with secondary students and adults, focusing on grammar and conversation. My approach is immersive, using a variety of Russian-language sources to improve your comprehension and speaking skills. I also have experience in exam preparation (GCSE, A-Level) and can help you tackle past papers and improve key skills.
